Alphabet Pretzels

For one of this week’s assignments we are supposed to make alphabets with pretzels and photograph them for a pretzel company ad. Rather than buying pretzels and trying to jigsaw-puzzle them into letters, I thought it’d be easier if I baked them myself. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any pre-made pretzel dough or authentic pretzel salt (plus I was too lazy to make the dough from scratch) so they turned out looking more like danishes.. with salt... oh well. They look yummy though, which is all that matters.

The little ampersand above is my favorite by far. The letterform was already pretzly to begin with, so twisting it into that shape was very satisfying. The end result:

  4. Hi! I am avoiding wheat right now so I didn't, but my parents ate them and took them to work too:) They said they were fluffier and tasted better than street pretzels!

  6. so now you could add 'fluffier than your average street pretzel!' to the ad ;) suppose that would take a lot of pretzel-baking though ;)
