Lavender Tux

It is cold and raining ice outside, so I wanted to post something silly and festive. Here is another exercise I did from Carla Sonheim’s Art of Silliness 2 workshop called shape-shifters. You cut out a few abstract shapes or “blobs,” arrange them into a new shape, and draw what you see in it.

  1. Love this idea! What did you use for color?

  2. This makes me chuckle every time I see it.

  3. Thanks! For color I used my Copic Sketch markers, except for the background (colored pencils).

  4. I love these peeks into your mind. I'm also thinking of the "taking a break" sketch and your post for your mother's birthday. :) But this guy is just hilarious. A bullfighter slash nightclub singer? Or is that just me?

  5. The whole time I was drawing this dude, I kept thinking he looks like something other than a nightclub singer, but I couldn't put my finger on it. A BULLFIGHTER, that's it! Thanks Kristy:-)
